The Live Lead Free Quad Cities (LLFQC) is a bistate, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization established in 2018 by organizational members of the Quad Cities with the purpose of creating a healthy living, playing, and working environment for its most vulnerable residents.
Offerings and Delivery Mechanisms
- Home Remediation/abatement/inspection
- The Housing Cluster, a LLFQC partner, conducts lead inspections, manages contractor bidding, management of the remediation/abatement activities, performs final inspection, and reports findings to the LLFQC board for “Lead-safe” designation.
- The LLFQC works with its members to develop educational content, materials, and events to educate providers, home owners, parents, and the community of lead based paint hazards and resources.
- Legislative advocacy
- The LLFQC works with local and state government to create policies that encourage safe home rental practices, community resources, and training.
